Abstract:
Career anchors are essential as they impact individuals' choices, motivations and professional satisfaction. This research aimed to identify the career anchors of undergraduate students in the Administration course at the Center for Legal and Social Sciences CCJS/UFCG. The methodology of this study followed a quantitative approach, using a structured questionnaire, Schein's Career Anchors Inventory (1996). Data collection was carried out with 65 students from the CCJS/UFCG Administration course, and the results were analyzed using arithmetic averages to identify the predominant career anchors. The survey revealed "Autonomy and Independence" (AI), "Security and Stability" (SE) and "Lifestyle" (EV) as the main career anchors of the students surveyed. In the initial periods, students seek freedom to explore, while students at the end of the course prioritize security and autonomy in professional choices, as well as concern about the balance between personal life and work, reflecting a migration to more flexible and contemporary career profiles. This study contributes theoretically by deepening the understanding of career anchors, while offering practical proposals for the development of university projects that help students' transition to the job market. Socially, it promotes the training of professionals who are more aware of their motivations.
