Abstract:
The study of the topic of female leadership has made significant progress in recent times, reflecting social changes and a more innovative cultural context. However, challenges still exist, such as stereotypes and inequalities. This study aimed to analyze international research on female leadership in the Web of Science database from 2020 to 2023, through a bibliometric mapping of the literature. The topics of leadership and female leadership were explored in the literature review in order to theoretically support this research. For data processing and analysis, the software tool adopted was the VosViewer program version 1.6.20, allowing the generation and analysis of network maps based on the systematization of 22 publications that were extracted from the database. As for the results, the analysis of publications on female leadership between 2020 and 2023 revealed only 22 articles in the Web of Science, evidencing limited academic production and the need for further study of the topic. The main topics covered include gender stereotypes and diversity, with Spain and the United States leading the way, indicating the urgency of greater international collaboration and investment in research. As a contribution, this study expands the literature on female leadership, highlighting research gaps and proposing topics such as diversity and gender stereotypes. In addition, it offers practical guidelines for promoting gender equity in organizational settings and contributes to the social debate on the role of women in leadership.
