Resumen:
Auxiliary services are essential for the efficient operation of substations, as they ensure the power supply for the protection, control, and supervision systems, as well as provide energy for lighting, outlets, and other important low-voltage loads. These services also enable the continuity of essential operations in emergency situations. This Undergraduate Thesis addresses auxiliary services in basic grid substations, with the main objective of clarifying their concepts, composition, and functionality. To achieve this, a literature review was conducted, along with an exemplification of the concepts through a project of auxiliary services for a basic grid substation, with a primary voltage level of 230 kV. Single-line, functional, logical, and interconnection diagrams were analyzed, relating them to the requirements established by the ONS through network procedures. Therefore, the study highlights the importance of auxiliary services in maintaining the reliability and safety of substations and, consequently, the power system.
