Resumo:
This paper presents the sizing of conductors for large-scale photovoltaic plants,
addressing the selection and technical specification of electrical cables that interconnect
modules, inverters, electrical centers and substations. With a focus on minimizing
electrical losses and ensuring the safety and efficiency of the system, technical criteria
such as current carrying capacity, electrical resistivity, cross sections and installation
methods for low and medium voltage networks were analyzed. Specific technical
standards and regulations, such as NBR 5410 and NBR 14039, guided the sizing and
implementation of trenches, conduits and protection systems. The study confirms the
importance of adequate sizing of conductors for the reliability and viability of large-scale
photovoltaic plants.
