Abstract

The popcorn culture is developing in the country, therefore there is need obtainment of relative dates to the culture mainly referencing to the processing, storage and marketing. In a certain way, searched with this research, estimate the effects of insects infestation (Sitophilus zeamais M.) on popcorn in different conditions of harvest, manual and mechanics - this with changes of velocity cylinder, for different moistures (10, 12 and 14%) during the storage (31 days). It was verified that, moisture factor is more considerable than harvest factor, for all working samples, might compromisse sensitively, after storage, the popcorn last quality.
