Resumen:
The pharmaceutical industry has shown constant growth in the sale and distribution of
drugs in Brazil, generating billions of reais annually. Such growth highlights the relevance
of logistics in the pharmaceutical supply chain, as well as highlighting the gaps in the
efficient distribution of pharmaceuticals since strict compliance with quality and health
standards is crucial. Logistics management contributes to cost reduction and greater
efficiency in meeting demands by integrating the links in the chain. Among these tools,
vehicle routing stands out for optimizing transport and reducing delivery time, directly
impacting inventory and logistics marketing. In this context, this article presents the results
of a Systematic Literature Review on methods for vehicle routing in the pharmaceutical
industry, according to articles published from 2004 to 2024, to investigate the best routing
practices in this sector, analyzing how they can be implemented to meet market demands.
The results revealed that most methods combine logistics, optimization, and network
analysis to ensure efficient delivery. The routing process must consider certain
perspectives, such as system complexity, transport sustainability, and time windows, due
to their importance in achieving organizational objectives.
