Abstract

The response of agricultural products to applied forces is time dependent and must be considered under a viscoelasticity point of view. There is only a few data related to rheological properties of brasilian agricultural products. The main reason for that is the high cost of the machinary used to the characterization of this type of material. This work presents a machine, designed at Universidade Federal de Viçosa, for viscoelastic characterization of agricultural materials. It is also presented the soft developed to data acquisition and analysis and some experimental results.
