Resumo:
The lack of previous knowledge of static pressure to be won by a
ventilator motor set in aeration and drying systems, due the resistance to the passage of
airflow through a porous mass, the objective of this work was to study the static pressue
drop through a mass of peanuts, with airflows varying 7.27 to 85.85 m3/min.m2 on
different moisture contents (8.0 to 45.4% w.b.) and layer thickness (50 to 200 cm). For
this experiment, on apparatus was building with PVC pipe from 25 cm diameter making
in dimensions of 50; 100; 150 e 200 cm, which were place on distribution of (plenum)
agreed with required height by experiments tests. The conclusion was that static pressure
increase with elevation of moisture, occasioning higher airflow passages and product of
layer thickness.
