Abstract

The usage of straw-clay as building material, traditionally used in Germany, Belgium and Switzerland for centuries, is nearly unknown in Brazil. The importance of such material is in its construction process simplicity, and its usage of renewable organic material This work aims to verify the cladding mortars behaviour over the straw earth. Due to the behaviour complexity of clay, were applied several kinds of mortar and has done comparative analysis among them.
