Abstract

This paper presents the production process of a prototypical construction with reforestation wood, straw-clay blocks and vegetal tiles, built within the campus of the University of Sao Paulo, at Sao Carlos, SP. All process’ parts are described in detail, including the architectural project, the production of straw-clay blocks, the wooden structure, and the construction organization, made with non-specialized manpower (GHab’s students and researchers). We hope that this small building will give us data which will allow us to improve these construction technics, targeting their usage in social housing production.
