Resumo:
The objective of this work was to compare the effect of different covering
materials (asbestos-cement, aluminum, and ceramics) with different inclination angles for
the roof: a) angles normally used for each material (22o for ceramics tiles and 11o for the
other materials); b) angle considered as ideal for thermal comfort (30o for all materials). A
comparison of the types of covering was performed based on the ambient thermal comfort
in the summer, for each one of the treatments, evaluated by the Globe Temperature Index
(ITGU) and Radiant Thermal Load (CTR). The best results were obtained for ceramics tiles
with an inclination angle of 30o.
