Abstract

This work aim to the theoretical and experimental study of the best profile of truck buckets analysing the flow and real capacity of this units. To this purpose the principal flow properties of bulk solids were determined and the ratio between the real and nominal volumes of various standard cross sections were analysed. The conclusions shows that the most commercial buckets have inadequate profiles and a best profile was proposed.
