Efeito do resfriamento evaporativo e da ventilação forçada no conforto térmico ambiental de verão, em maternidades de suínos.

dc.description.resumo	Objetivando avaliar o efeito da ventilação forçada e de sistemas de resfriamento evaporativo para melhorar as condições térmicas ambientais em maternidade suínas, foi desenvolvido um experimento no período de 20 de janeiro a 20 de fevereiro de 1996. Foram utilizadas quatro salas de maternidade, com 8 gaiolas de parição cada, alojando-se as matrizes nas mesmas quatro dias antes da parição. Os tratamentos testados foram: ventilação forçada, resfriamento evaporativo com nebulizador acoplado ao ventilador, resfriamento evaporativo com material poroso acoplado ao ventilador e testemunha. A partir dos dados climáticos calculou-se o índice de temperatura de globo e umidade, a carga térmica radiante e a umidade relativa do ar. Os resultados demonstraram que os sistemas de resfriamento evaporativo proporcionaram as melhores condições térmicas para as matrizes.	pt_BR

dc.description.abstract	This experiment was carried out from January 20th to February 20th, 1996, in order to evaluate the effect of the forced ventilation and evaporative cooling on the improvement of the thermal conditions on swine maternity. The maternity had four rooms, with eight parturition cages each, being the sows housed four days before parity. The treatments consisted of forced ventilation, evaporative cooling with a sprayer connected to the ventilator, evaporative cooling with pad material and ventilator, and a witness. The globe temperature and humidity index, radiant heat load, air relative humidity were calculated from the climatic data. The results showed that the evaporative cooling systems presented the best environmental thermal conditions for the lactation sows.	pt_BR
