Influência do resfriamento adiabático evaporativo no Índice de Conforto Térmico (ITGU), em maternidade para suínos.

Abstract

The experiment was carried out in 1995, during the months of january and february at Chuá Ranch, in Patos de Minas (MG), Brazil. The objective was to test the Forced Ventilation System (SVF) and the Evaporative Refrigeration System (SRAE) to improve the enviromental conditions for lactation sows and their litters, determined by black Globe Temperature and Umidity Index (ITGU).. The data shwn that the SVF system was inefficient and was the same as the SSR system (P>0,05). The results allow the conclusion that lower ITGU index was obtained (P<0,05) with the SRAE system, resulting in better conditions when it was used.
