Resumen:
The present paper has as major objetive the determination of physical properties related to the design, and actions on silos. The properties analysed were: density (ø); static angle of internal friction (øi); e effective angle of internal friction (øe) and, kinematic friction angle between the storage product and three types of wall materials (smooth steel, rugous steel and concrete). For these determinations it was employed the test machine TSG 70-140, known internationally by “Jenike Shear Cell” or “Jenike shearing’s apparatus” beloy to the Wood and Wood’s Structure Laboratory of EESC/USP, using the methodology described by Milani (1993) and accepted by Standard Shear Testing Technique for particulate solids using Jenike Shear Cell (Technical Manual) and as materials: cat, dog nestling and dog adult.
