Respostas fisiológicas de matrizes lactantes e de suas leitegadas, à modificações térmicas ambientais em condições de verão.

dc.description.resumo	Foi desenvolvido um experimento no período de 20 de janeiro a 20 de fevereiro de 1996, com o objetivo de verificar o efeito da ventilação forçada e de sistemas de resfriamento evaporativo no desempenho de matrizes lactantes e suas leitegadas. As matrizes foram alojadas, quatro dias antes da parição, em quatro salas de maternidade, com 8 gaiolas de parição cada. Os tratamentos consistiram de: ventilação forçada, resfriamento evaporativo com nebulizador acoplado ao ventilador, resfriamento evaporativo com material poroso acoplado ao ventilador e testemunha. Registrou-se a temperatura retal, a freqüência respiratória e o consumo de ração das matrizes e o ganho de peso dos leitões. Pode-se concluir que os sistemas de resfriamento evaporativo apresentaram os melhores resultados.	pt_BR

dc.description.abstract	This experiment was carried out from January 20th to February 20th, 1996. The was to verify the effect of the forced ventilation and the evaporative cooling system on the performance of lactation sows and their litters. The maternity building had four rooms, with eight parturition cage each, being the sows housed four days before litters birth. The treatments consisted of forced ventilation, evaporative cooling with a sprayer connected to the ventilator and evaporative cooling with pad material. The rectal temperature, respiratory frequency and the feed intake of the sows and the weight gain of the litters were registered. It was concluded that the evaporative cooling systems presented the best results.	pt_BR
