Abstract

This work was developed to evaluate the energetic conversion of corn silage, variety grain, soybean bran, wheat grain and mill grained corn in body mass energy, utilizing confined bovine. Results indicated that 90.8% of energy was consumed by the animal metabolism, and that 9.2% was transformed in body mass, corresponding to an expected efficiency rate of 10.81:1.
