Abstract:
Observing the scenario of Inclusive Education in the municipality of São José de
Piranhas, this research reflects on the importance of the Specialized Educational
Service (SES) in the inclusion of students with specific needs in the learning process in
the regular classroom. Considering the current public policies related to Inclusive
Education that can ensure that this service is efficient and if there is any type of
assistance offered by the municipality to obtain a quality education equitable. The
research is of a qualitative nature of exploratory character, where semi-structured
interviews were carried out with two professionals of Inclusive Education in the referred
municipality. Based on the analysis of the research, it is to highlight the advances that
occurred in the year 2023 in inclusive education in the municipality and the need for
greater investments for the AEE resource room and a look at equity for students who
have some type of specific educational needs to develop academic activities.
