Resumen:
This trial was conducted in Federal University at Viçosa with the aim of evaluating the influence of water quality in clogging of “xiquexique” emitters. Treatments were conducted by mean of three water quality matches, in relation to possible clogging by suspense solids: none (50 mg/L), moderate (50 to 75 mg/L) and severe (>100 mg/L), in presence and absence of filtering. To collect the volumes, the methodology proposed by the standard ISO 9261 (1991) was utilized. During the tests, clogging in lines without filter was observed, even for the treatment with no risk of clogging. By the results, it can be concluded that filter is essential for “xiquexique” system of localized irrigation, even when water is classified as water without clogging risk.
