Avaliação quantitativa da deposição de sedimentos em sistemas drenantes.

Abstract

It was evaluated quantitatively the deposition of sediments in drain systems installed into a horizontal sand tank. It was verified that the soil particles moving in the drain neighborhood could favor its clogging, because the occurrence of high hydraulic gradients close to the tube. The facilities of the synthetic wrap provided to the drain systems tested an excellent performance referring to its selective function, showing that it might be used as a filter for the soil in question.
