Abstract

In the technical evaluation of the performance of the semifixed sprinkler irrigation system of the Barreiras Irrigation Project, in Petrolandia-PE, it was found that the service pressure varied 44.80% compared to the recommended pressure (2.50 atm) and that the Christiansen Uniformity Coeficient (CUC) and the application efficiency (Ae) were around 69.73 and 47.28%, respectivily, under a mean wind velocity of 1.88 _+ 1.31 m/sec. The best values were found under a service pressure of 2.93 atm, where CUC and Ae were 86.00 and 78.89%, respectivily.
