Abstract

The knowledge of soil infiltration capacity is essential for irrigation and hidrological study. Therefore, the method used on its obtainment should be the most consistent possible with the irrigation system to be utilized. It was evaluated two method of infiltration capacity determination, using rings-infiltrometer method and rainfall simulator infiltrometer, under soil field capacity condition. The data showed infiltration capacity using rings-infiltrometer result in values larger than rainfall simulator determined.
