Resumo:
Physical-hidric caracterization at soils of São Gonçalo Experimental Station,
Sousa, PB, was realized in 1996. Samples of these soils were collected from 19 profiles
with depth till 100cm. Results should predomination of sandy loam and loamy sandy
textures. Values of bulk apparent gravity, field capacity, wilting point and available water
varied from 1,17 to 1,51g/cm3, 4 to 23%, 2 to 11% and 2 to 14%, respectively. Values of
field capacity an available water were greater where silt + clay fractions predominated.
Values of total and drainable porosity changed from 38 to 51% and 21 to 40% respectively,
showing ocorrence of small increase on flutuations of the water table level due charges and
recharges of the subsurface aquifer.
