The present paper was conducted with the aim of studying the feasibility of using an odontological spittle sucker, discardable plastic material, Franso (trademark), as an emitter in microirrigation. After hydraulic characterization, the emitter presented a fabrication coefficient 0,044 and characteristical equation Q = 46,23X0,4. Water application uniformity were evaluated, and on the soil surface very low values of Christiansen uniformity coefficient were found. After redistribution of water on the soil surface, moisture uniformity improved significantly, and it suggests the good potencial of use of the spittle sucker in microirrigation.
