Abstract

The costs and the Christiansen Uniformity Coefficients were determined for a semiportable irrigation system, two sprinklers models, three operation pressures and six spacing combinations. With the CUC up to 90%, the lowest costs were obtained with the NAAN sprinkler with pressure of 147,1 kPa. With the CUC above 90%, the pressure of 196,2 kPa provided the smallest system total cost. Considering the same value of the CUC to the FABRIMAR sprinklers, the smallest costs were obtained with operation pressure of 147,1 kPa, and the greatest costs were obtained with pressure of 98,1 kPa.
