Resumo:
The main objective was to verify the behavior of different methods for irrigation control at field level. A experiment using maize crop was set at experimental area of CNPMS/EMBRAPA, in Sete Lagoas MG, using a experimental design of randomized blocks for four water control methods , two soil water depletion levels and tree replications. The treatments combined -0.07 MPa and -0.3 MPa soil water potential and the irrigation management methods: There were no statistical difference among seven from the eight treatments with respect to grain dry matter, yield and 1000 seeds weight. Only exception was the treatment T7, that used gypsum blocks to predict the moment to irrigate at soil water potential of -0.3 MPa and Class A pan to estimate the evaporation.
