Desempenho de um atmômetro modificado na estimativa da evapotranspiração de referência dada por um lisímetro de pesagem.

Abstract

It was evaluated the performance of a modified atmometer to estimate the reference evapotranspiration (ETo) measured by a weighing lysimeter covered with grass. The experiment was conducted at the Lysimetric station of the Departamento de Engenharia Rural, ESALQ/USP, Piracicaba, SP (2242’ S; 4738’W; 540 m), from August to December 1996. Results show that the modified atmometer simulated reasonably well ETo with good linear correlation between them at three time scales, i.e. 1, 3, and 5 days. Due to smoothing effect of the averaging the 5 days period gave the best correlation.
