Resumen:
It was evaluated the hydraulic performance of ceramic tube without
socket, using a horizontal sand tank, in which were tested a coarse sand envelope and the
absence of envelope. It was verified that the increase in the entrance resistance,
happened for the ceramic tube drain system without envelope, was induced by the
absence of envelope, that created a greater flow line convergence close to the tube. For
the ceramic tube drain system with envelope, a bigger entrance area, for a kind of
envelope with a good hydraulic property, probably, contributed to decrease the entrance
resistance.
