Résumé:
The evapotranspiration (ET) rate calculated by Ritchie method was compared to ET rate determined by soil water balance method. The soil water evaporation (Es) reached 30% of the total ET, and 78,5% of the amount occurred before complete cover of the soil surface by the crop. A reasonable estimate of ET rate was obtained by Ritchie method up to the complete cover of the soil surface. It was observed a good agreement between the kc values determined by Ritchie method and soil water balance method for the three initial crop development stages.
