Abstract:
Different methodologies were tested to detemine water distribuition uniformity in a sprinkler system. The trials were done in an area close to the Irrigation Laboratory /UFC. To evaluate water distribuition uniformity, were used Christiansen’s Uniformity Coefficient (CUC), Uniformity of Distribution Coefficient (CUD), Hart’s Coefficient of Uniformity (CUH), Pattern Efficiency from HSPA (UDH) and the Coefficient from Wilcox & Swailes (CUE). The best results for CUH, CUC, CUE, CUD and UDH, were obtained for low wind velocities and spacings of 12 m x 12 m and 12 m x 18 m, folling below the accepted leves for the 18 m x 18 m spacing. On basing us bacwash meted at regression tests, all parameters studied proposed results satisfactories.
