Abstract

To evaluate the performance of a non-rotating emitter (microsprayer 7200) a series of field trials were done, with the equipment running for 1,5; 3,0; and 4,5 hours. Although surface water distribution based on present standards, used to evaluate overlapping emitters, can be classified as non satisfactory, soil water distribution within the soil profile twenty-four hours after application, can be considering good, showing the need for changing the standard for evaluation of non-overlapping emitters based solely on surface water distribution.
