Résumé:
The objective of this study was to evaluate the soil water dynamic in a sand soil under different flow rates and amounts of water applied by drip irrigation. The study was carried out in the Experimental Station of EMBRAPA-CPAMN, in Parnaiba, PI, Brazil. Water amounts of 10 l and 20 l were applied using drippers flow rates of 4 l.h-1 and 8 l.h-1. The soil water dynamic was similar in all situations. There was a dominance of the vertical flow with changing in the geometry of the wetted volume with time. The vertical flow increased with the amounts of water and flow rates resulting in a higher deep percolation.
