Resumen:
The water table depth and soil global density effect on the effective depth of the grape root system was evaluated in seven areas with subsurface drainage. The water table depth and soil global density have a considerable effect on the grape root system effective depth. It is believable that the effect of global density would be greater than the water table depth. The authors fund a literature that overestimates the value of the effective depth of grape root system, for the soil and drainage studied conditions in the Bebedouro irrigation district.
