Resumo:
This study is a survey of the effects of the rejection of two reverse osmosis desalination systems (RO) of water wells on the soil, located at the villages of Rajada and Uruás, in the Petrolina-PE. In these villages studied, as well as in all villages in the brazilian semiarid, the desalination rejects are trhown in natural drenage systems, whithout any treatment. This can cause possible serious damage to the soil and environment due to its high salts levels.
