Abstract

The effects of different salinity waters (0.5 to 2.5 dS/m) and irrigation depths (varying between 100 to 120% of water requirement) on production in 2 consecutive cycles of Nanica banana were studied. Results showed that production components (number of fruits/bunch, bunch weight, length, diameter and weight of middle fruit) were found to decrease with increase in water salinity whereas for water depths inverse relationship was observed. Sucker plants presented significantly superior values in comparison to mother plant for all variables.
