Résumé:
Germination and vigor of 9 cultivar of muskmelon under greenhouse
conditions was evaluated utilising some water of different salinities, 500 to 7500 S/cm, in
washed sand substrate. Results showed that germination was affected significantly at water
salinity of 6100 S/cm and above while seedling vigour especially dry weight of roots,
was found to be reduced significantly at 1900S/cm. The cultivars Galeão and Pele de Sapo
were more susceptible to salinity during germination and seedling vigour while cultivars
Gold mine, Dorado and Amarelo US excelled for salt tolerance.
