Irrigação por sulcos da cultura do tomate cultivado em encostas com alta declividade.

Abstract

The objective of this research was out to study the model of irrigation for cultivation in banks, alternatively for the traditional method by hose wetting. A water distributing mechanism in short and closed forrows ( 40 m. ), isttaled on slope ( 24,5% ) and the performance of the system by forrows irrigation, buit with the folowing slops: 1,05; 1,25; 1,27; 1,34; 2,10; and 3,145% was avaliated. Applied water at flow rater of 0,35; 0,48 and 0,52 l.s-1, beneath intermitent regime. As results obtained decrease use of labor, mangement ease and abelity for water distribuition umiformity in soil. Studies on llonger forrows must be conducted. A crop responded with high yield ( 106,7 ton/ha ) and fruits of excellent standard quality.
