Résumé:
Saltwort (Atriplex numulária) is a forage plant native to Australia, belonging to the Chenopodiacea
family, which has more than 400 species distributed in several arid and semi-arid regions of the
world. The objective of this research was to investigate and evaluate the performance of Atriplex
nummulária under different fertilizations. The experiment period was from September 20, 2023
and ended on December 19, 2023. The experiment was carried out in the greenhouse of the Federal
University of Campina Grande, Education and Health Center, Cuité - Paraíba. The experimental
design was completely randomized with five treatments and four replications, with 20 experimental
units totaling 40 pots, each experimental plot contained two cuttings with different treatments. The
technique used had a descriptive and exploratory approach, which classified the study as
experimental. The cuttings were 20 cm long and submerged in IBA + ANA 1% for 20 seconds.
The treatments were T1 without fertilization, T2 nitrogen, T3 Organic Fertilizer and T4 NPK. Stem
diameter, number of leaves, number of branches, height, fresh phytomass, aerial and root parts
were evaluated. It is concluded that the different fertilizations did not provide satisfactory
performance for Atriplex nummulari. It can be seen that the fertilizers used did not provide growth
for Atriplex nummularia, which infers that the best fertilizer was not found in this research.
