This work was developed with the goal of evaluating the hydraulic
characteristics of Big Swivel rotative micro-sprinkler, manufactured by Dan Sprinklers,
such as the variation due to the manufacturing process and the discharge-pressure relation
characteristic equation, aiming at giving suggestion to its adequate selection in the
dimensions of the trickle irrigation systems. The manufacturing variation coefficient fond
was 0.024, and according to the ASAE classification, it is considered excellent. The
discharge variation in relation to its average revealed a normal model distribution. The
adjustment of the discharge versus pressure tested data resulted in a q=3,11*H0,57
characteristic equation, with a determination coefficient (R²) equals to 0,9971 and the
flow regimen was considered partially and unstable.
