Résumé:
This work describes the architecture of an environment for collaborative learning and
the existing communication processes in the interactions between its agents. The
approach implies the implementation of scenes, tasks and simulations for understanding
the ecological preservation concepts. A pedagogical agent displays theoretical principles
and follows the tasks development, collaborating with the apprentice in learning
process. Beyond an artificial pedagogical agent, the apprentice can request aid to a
human mediator and to apprentices colleagues.
This proposal is based on Vygotsky's theory of cognitive development [VYG.78], where
the child learns better when we offer him tasks that are above of his current
development level, since that they are follow by a person capable to collaborate with
them in the learning process, and guide them through the ZPD (Zone of Proximal
Development). To implement the inherent concepts of collaboration surrounding this
theory, it is essential to create an environment where apprentices and collaborators
interaction is intense and efficient. In this context, Distributed Artificial Intelligence
serves as a foundation for the environment agents conception and its communicative
process.
