Resumo:
Lantana camara L. is a herbaceous ornamental plant, belonging to the Verbenaceae
family endemic to Brazil, the species arouses agronomic interest for flowering throughout
the year, being cultivated by floriculturists for ornamental purposes. The present work
aims to evaluate the efficacy of synthetic rooters in different percentages in the rooting
of cuttings of Lantana camara. The experiment began on September 20, 2023 and ended
on December 20, 2023. It was carried out in a completely randomized design. The
collection was through cuttings, 20 cm long, which were submerged in IBA and ANA for
20 seconds. The development was verified after 90 days, and the following parameters
were analyzed: stem diameter, number of leaves and branches, length of cuttings, weight
of the aerial part and root. Observing the statistical difference between the treatments of
the 2% IBA and 0.4 % ANA solutions, at concentrations of 200 mL of desalinated water,
they showed that the substances did not perform in inducing root shoots and aerial parts
in the cuttings of Lantana camara. It is concluded that, Lantana camara when subjected
to different concentrations of the synthetic rooters IBA 2% and ANA 0.4%, does not
obtain satisfactory results, this is explained by the fact that the ornamental species has a
great capacity for regeneration. It is possible to conclude that the composition of the
rooters IBA 2% and ANA 0.4 % did not favor the development of root formation and
initial growth of Lantana camara, thus dispensing with the use of growth phytoregulators.
