Resumen:
The region of Jales is one of the most important table grape producer in the
state of São Paulo, Brazil. All the cultivated area is irrigated. This work had the purpose to
provide basic informations to a rational water managment for grape irrigation. According to
the soil-water retention curve and the local estimated evapotranspiration, the irrigation
depth and frequency can change from 18 mm until 29 mm and 4 to 22 days, respectively,
varying with the month of the year and the cultural development stage.
