Abstract:
A computer model was developed to simulate pressure and discharge
simulation along pipes of pressurized irrigation systems. The program runs in the
WINDOWS environment and it is capable of simulating practically any type of sprinkler
irrigation systems and localized irrigation systems. The predictive capability of the model
was tested by comparing simulated pressure heads and flow rates with measured data for
two sprinkler irrigation systems. The model proved to be a practical tool for upgrading and
designing pressurized irrigation systems.
