Resumo:
Youth and adult education (EJA) is a type of education aimed at students who have not
completed their studies at the recommended age. In general, EJA classes are composed of
students who work and are responsible for supporting their families. Since chemistry is
considered a complex subject by students, it is up to the teacher to seek differentiated
methodologies that help students better understand chemistry, especially EJA students. In this
sense, the objective of this work was to research teaching methodologies that can be used during
classes, with the purpose of making the teaching of this subject more attractive to students. The
search for papers was carried out in the CAPES journal, from 2017 to 2022. The results indicate
that the use of differentiated methodologies makes students feel motivated, being participatory
during classes and building more meaningful learning. Thus, it is possible to affirm that using
differentiated methodological strategies awakens EJA students' interest in learning, and can
contribute significantly to the teaching and learning of these students.
