Abstract:
The spatial and temporal variability in the furrow irrigation cross-sectional
section was verified by performing two field evaluations, one during the first irrigation
event and another during the sixth one. The cross-section profile was measured when the
recession phase was concluded in these two irrigation events. It was verified that occurred
spatial and temporal variations in the furrow cross-section. Spatially, the dimension that
more varied was the maximum depth, which presented variations up to 100%. However,
the furrow base width was the dimension that more suffer variations along the time,
increasing 45% from the first to the sixth irrigation event.
