Semi-árido, convivência com a seca e o dilema tecnológico.

Abstract

In the semi-arid region of Northeast the technological levels adoption is low. This is caused by the great diversity of socioeconomic and geoenvironmental. The objective of this study was to identify the technological level of the small farmers in Uauá (BA), Custódia (PE), Tianguá (CE) and Barauna (RN), in 1996, by analysing the use of technologies. The results showed that large portion of them don’t use technologies, this situation contributes to decrease the technological level of growers.
