Abstract

A spreadsheet was developed, into the Microsoft Excel ambient, to determine the lateral pipe diameters of sprinkler irrigation systems, basing on permissible head loss, soil surface slope, and commercialized pipe diameters. The spreadsheet is friendly usable, performs the computations accurately, and provides the results quickly, minimizing the spending time in calculation routine operations. That increases the chances for more rigorous analyses on the interactions, giving a more useful application of the results.
