Resumo:
In this work the stress distribution in two subsoilers were performed. One subsoiler had a straight shank and the other one had a curved shank. They were modeled by using ANSYS, a finite element software. The equivalent stress distributions were obtained throughout the both shanks when they were submitted to a static force due to the soil resistance. The maximum values of stress obtained from the finite element analysis were compared to the endurance limit of na ABNT 1035 steel. The maximum equivalent stress was greater in the straight shank. It was concluded that ABNT 1035 steel could be used for manufacturing both modeled subsoilers
