Résumé:
Adequate cover crop straw management, with the aim of turning
conservation tillage and planting into feasible operations, can be realized with the
strawgrinder. For performance evaluation, an experiment was conducted at the Fazenda
Experimental Lageado, of the Faculdade de Ciencias Agronomicas of UNESP, BotucatuSP, on a Terra Roxa Estruturada soil. The treatments consisted of three green manure crops
(black oats, bluebonnet and forage raddish), and three travel speeds (3.6, 5.0, and 6.3
km/h), outlined in randomized bloks, with 4 replications. Theoretical field capacity (ha/h),
grinding capacity (t/h), as well as theoretical and specific fuel consumption (l/ha and l/t,
respectively), were evaluated. From the results it was concluded that the various gren
manure species altered neither the theoretical field capacity nor fuel consumption.
