Resumo:
The objective of this study was to evaluate the performance of a prototype of
metering device for solid fertilizers and limestone in relation to its distribution rate. Ground
rock phosphate, granular fertilizer, and ground limestone were evaluated under three
distribution rates each. The effect of the level of product inside the reservoir was observed for
one distribution rate. The prototype performed well for any product tested as well as for
different distribution rates. Frequencies ranging 10 % below and above the mean showed
distribution eficiency of 95 % for Arad rock phosphate, 90 % for granular fertilizer, and 85
% for ground limestone.
